Val: Don’t Exchange Your Body for Snacks, Drinks –Beauty Queen
As the St Valentine’s Day, otherwise known as Lovers Day is being celebrated all over the world today, Queen Stephanie James, the current Miss BMP (Beauty Model Petite) has advised young ladies to avoid being lured into sex by desperate men who are misinterpreting the reason for the 14 February celebration.
Queen Stephanie, who said that putting smile on the faces of orphans is one feat that gives her unquantifiable joy and satisfaction, said many people have misinterpreted the essence of St Valentine’s Day to satisfy their sexual urge and other selfish interests.
According to her, “it is a day we are expected to demonstrate that we love our neighbours as ourselves –agape love. Not a day you buy snacks and drinks for a lady and expect sex in return. It’s really sad and we seriously need to enlighten the girl child about this.”
She added that “many young ladies have confided in me that they ignorantly lost their virginities on a day like this, and it is part of the reason I have personally been trying to reach out to other ladies, teenagers in particular so that they won’t fall victims of some perverts and desperate men in future.”
Since Stephanie emerged as Miss BMP, she has been using her office to impact positively on orphans in the country by donating food items and other relief materials to them.
“It is actually not about the physical materials that I donated, but the joy of being with the kids –giving them hope that God has a plan for each of them in life. Come to think of it, it could have been anyone of us in their shoes, if not for the grace of God,” Queen Stephanie said.
She added that as a beauty queen, “my priority is to take care of the orphans, and I will do this passionately with everything God has blessed me with. Truth is that we have many Nigerians who regularly give to orphanages, but it is still not enough. I will implore more people to join the train.”

Why I’m Not a Gospel Artiste –Icent
Upwardly mobile singer, Icent has explained why he didn’t consider the option of being a gospel musician, but rather followed the path of secular music.
The widely-travelled Edo State-born entertainer, who started music professionally five years ago, squealed that his musical journey started many years ago in church, where he sings and learnt to play musical instruments.
According to Icent, he had been doing music as a passion in church for many years before he finally gave it a professional. He has hitherto released audio and video singles of ‘Number One’ featuring Skales, ‘Wedding Day’ and ‘African Tomatoe’ to the delight of his fans.
His latest single, Asantua is currently enjoying airplay, yet Icent is not relenting on his oars, as he is currently in the studio working on a new single that will “beat imaginations.”
Asked why he didn’t choose to be a gospel artiste, Icent said “First and foremost, when you are growing up, you will go to church with your parents. And once music is what you love to do, you will have the opportunity to sing and play musical instruments –it always encourages you to go to church.
“But doing secular music is what you think you can do or what you think is easy for you. For you to be a gospel artiste; you have to be dedicated to it –you can’t socialise anyhow. Everybody worships God, but there are some things you will want to do that you won’t be able to do as a gospel artiste,” he opined.
The multi-talented singer, who recently relocated back to Nigeria from Spain, has moved into his newly acquired mansion in Lekki, the highbrow of Lagos.Reason Obasanjo's Son's Marriage To Billionaire Daughter Tope Adebutu Crashed, Insiders Reveal
A large number of Nigerians are asking why the superlative marriage between previous President Olusegun Obasanjo’s child, Olujonwo and tycoon businessperson, Kessington Adebutu’s girl, Tope smashed like a tokunbo auto motor.
Insiders screeched that… “Olujonwo left home around October 2017, which was around five months after his wedding to Adebutu’s little girl. The young lady is brutal, slaps him and strikes him freely. She would reveal to Jonwo that she thought he is from a rich family however that she found he’s poor!” “After their marriage, he was giving her N100,000 as encouraging recompense for the home and she grumbled intensely. She was not happy with Jonwo’s judiciousness and that had dependably been an issue with them even before they got hitched. She would attack him however he has never laid a hand on her due to his tendency. Aside that, she would undermine to devastate his name in the media on the off chance that he strikes back.” The last time I talked with him, he was not in Nigeria. He needed to desert the home since his dad and in-law demanded he remained with his better half regardless of the way that he has announced her savage demonstrations to them. They don’t need the marriage to crash with a specific end goal to spare their countenances.”

Herdsmen Killed 2, Injured 7 In Ketu
Some herdsmen who refused to live in peace with their hosts have turned communities in Ketu Local Council Development Area of Ogun state into a place where people now fear for their lives. Due to incessant attacks by the rampaging Fulani Herdsmen, thirty primary schools and several hospitals have been closed down.
In a statement yesterday in Abeokuta, the capital, by leaders of the community, Mr Michael Abiose and Mr Williams Olayode, the Ketu Advancement Forum (KAF), speaking for indigenes, regretted that Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s administration has failed to protect them.
The statement read thus:
"For us, as Ketu people located in Ogunwale state by God the present administration under Governor Amosun, as the chief security officer, has failed us as we bear great frustration and agony in our hearts because neither the governor nor his officials has done to rescue us from the seige Fulani herds men who started attack on our community in October 2017“Without going into the hostilities of over 15 years, all of which the state is well aware of, we like to tell the world that most communities in Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have come under renewed siege of Fulani herdsmen in the past five months.“Our farmers have been sent away from their farms, over 30 primary schools have been shut down, health facilities closed and economic activities paralysed.“The climax of it started on December 10, last year, when innocent aged women were attacked and macheted in-between Moro and Eegelu villages for their refusal to submit themselves to be raped by heartless herdsmen.“Nine days after, on December 19, last year, the marauding herdsmen were out on their evil mission again, killing Mr. Olabisi Tangu Afolabi and setting his body ablaze at Oosada village. To add sorrow to the Christmas celebrations, they struck again on December 25, last tear, and murdered Mr. Adegoke Olude at Ogunba Ayetoro.“However, with the active collaboration of our vigilantes, three of the suspected killers, namely Mohammed Bello (40), Muhammed Momoh (30) and Yisau Umoru (18), were arrested and later paraded by Police Commissioner Ahmed Illyasu with an AK-47 rifle, pieces of 0.8mm live ammunition, 26 live cartridges and two sharp cutlasses, all recovered from them.“The world may also wish to note that three days after a stakeholders’ meeting convened by Ketu LCDA on January 25, at the instance of the police commissioner and Ketu Advancement Forum (KAF), which was attended by herdsmen, the herdsmen broke loose again into our farms, hewing down palm and teak trees for their herds to graze on.

I Can Marry Yemi Alade..An Exclusive interview With Nedro
Mamah Stanley Emeka, otherwise known as Nedro (Fireboy) is one of Nigeria’s multi-talented entertainers. The native of Nsukka, Enugu State, is a born artist, singer, songwriter and performer. In this interview, he opens up on his love life, career and other controversial issues
How did you come about the name Nedro da Fireboy?
Nedro means –Never Drop God; it’s like an abbreviation. I love God very much. I’m a church boy and that runs in the family. But ‘Da Fireboy’ attached to it came about in a funny way. I actually took a photograph at a night club, and while posting it on social media the next day, the caption that came to my mind was ‘Fireboy’. Immediately I posted it on Facebook, everybody started calling me ‘Fire boy.’
How did your journey into music start?
At first, I wasn’t serious because I was one of those students who make noise in class with music. I started off as a rapper when I was in Secondary School, but gave it a professional shot when I came to Lagos in 2013. My first single ‘Like to Know’ was released under the affiliation of Knight House. In 2014, I dropped another project ‘Dobale’ featuring Phenom. This was closely followed by an EP of seven tracks in 2015 which featured N6, Makiller and Tosyn Buknor.
In early 2016, my resilience and hard work paid off as I was signed to an international record label Timbaze Music under which I dropped my first official single ‘Duronor’ with a video directed by Stanz Visuals. Later that year, I dropped another song, ‘Boju’ with a video directed by Avalon Okpe which got a spectacular acceptance and airplays in various radios and TV stations.
‘Once Upon a Time,’ produced by Mix Master Garzy from Ghana, is my current project and has been enjoying encouraging reviews from music pundits, while the video, directed by multiple award-winning Clarence Peters, has no doubt proved to be the icing on the cake. The acceptance has been quite encouraging. Of course, I featured the world best –Patoranking on the song.
How did your relationship with Timbaze Music start?
The owner of the label is my colleague actually. He has been hearing of my songs and stuff like that, so when I recorded ‘Duronor’ he loved it and called me. I had even slept when he called me, so the next day I returned his call. We met and he told me how he has loved my songs and all that, then we discussed the contract...that was how the whole thing started.
Most times, Nigerian artistes have issues and fallout with their labels. What can you ascribe the cause to?
It is not every artiste that has issues with their label. You can say most of them, but definitely not all of them. Sometimes, the issues they have are personal problems –it is never the same thing. Mr A’s story would be different from Mr B’s story and on like that. The truth is that in life, we are bound to have issues with one another, but how we handle them is most important.
What informs the choice of featuring Patoranking in your new single, ‘Once Upon a Time’?
When I first dropped the acoustic version of the song, people liked it. Anytime I perform the song, people will always tell me to promote the song because it has the potentials of going far. That was why I approached Garzy to reproduce the beat and give it more professional touch. After that, we thought of the best artiste to feature on the song, and it was no other person than Patoranking. My boss, Alex Ozone of 03 Media called Patoranking and it was a wrap. It was a nice experience working with a massive talent like him.
Before and after you featured Patoranking, what has been the transformation?
Patoranking is definitely big, and he has a lot of fans, so having him on the song is a huge blessing. The transformation is quite incredible. Working with Patoranking is like a dream come true. Some people did not even believe it was true until they saw the video. My plan right now is to remain consistent and keep working harder.
What do you want to be known for in the industry?
I want people to know me as a boy who has a dream and would never stop chasing his dreams. I want to be known as a boy who will never stop believing.
How do you hope to be relevant in the industry for a long time, considering that many artistes become instant success and go down almost immediately?
I think some of those people affected have this ‘I have arrived’ mentality. But for me, I don’t think there should be a level someone should reach in this life to think that he or she has arrived. I believe so much in hard work, and anything that is worth doing is worth doing well. I just want to maintain my level of hard work.
Who is your mentor/role model?
My major mentor is God. On the other hand, I have a lot of people who have influenced my life in music. Tuface Idibia is one of them. I also look up to the likes of Davido because despite coming from a rich home, he hustled on the streets to make his own money. I respect WizKid as well.
Is it true that Nigerian music is influenced by Ghana?
I just believe in African sound, and we are all Africans, but I wouldn’t say one sound influenced the other. I just know that once I hear a sound that is African, I can identify it, and I believe so much in them.
Are you still single and searching?
Yes, I’m single but not sure if I’m searching. Probably I’m single and ready to mingle. I’m still a young boy.
But we can expect baby mamas from you right?
Well, I don’t hope to do that –I want to get married to that girl, take her to the altar and do every necessary thing.
How romantic are you?
I’m extremely romantic, but maybe I have not yet met the girl I love to really show her how romantic I am. To an extent, I know I’m very romantic.
You don’t have any lady in your life?
Not really. Since I left my hometown to Lagos, the concentration has just been on my career. Just like I said in my new song; ‘if no be money wetin go carry me come Lagos?’
How do you relax?
I like playing video games and playing soccer.
If you have the chance to marry a female colleague, who will that be and why?
Honestly, I really don’t trip for any of them, but if I have to, then it will be Yemi Alade because she is hard working. She is a true representation of Africa and I love African women. Besides, she is physically pretty.
