John Dumelo In A Meeting With Congoleese President
Fame can quickly change the fortunes of an individual and raise his pedestal beyond any possible imagination. If John Dumelo was told a decade ago that he will become very famous, a star actor, a sought after celebrity, a fashion label owner, and all other current luxuries he enjoys, he may have said no to it and considered any such suggestions as a dream.
Well, some dreams can become reality and such is the case for John Dumelo. Even in the face of scandals that threatened to derail his focus this year, he stood his ground and continues to prevail over detractors.
Courtesy of the Foundation he established to help the poor in society, Congo’s president Sassou Nguesso has recognized his effort and invited him together with footballer Emmanuel Adebayor for a closed door meeting. John managed to sneak out a picture of the meeting for fans to share in his endeavors.

Dekunle Fuji, who was popular in the gospel music industry in Nigeria some years ago, has now become a certified nurse in the United States of America. As gathered from reports, the artiste flew to America in 2011 for a show, but stayed back to pursue a career in nursing. He was reportedly certified in New Jersey some months ago.
Dekunle Fuji was popular with his hit song, 'Mo Like Jesu Gan'. He has performed at the Xperience gospel concert organised every December in Nigeria.

Mandela responding to treatment: Zuma
Nelson Mandela was responding better to treatment, South African President Jacob Zuma said on Wednesday.
Presenting the Presidency's budget vote in Parliament in Cape Town, Zuma said he was happy with the progress that the 94-year-old elder statesman was making on his fifth day in a Pretoria hospital, where he was admitted on Saturday with a recurring lung infection.
"On this crucial historical anniversary," Zuma said - referring to the 49th anniversary of Mandela's sentencing to life imprisonment in 1964 - "our thoughts are with President Mandela and his family.
"I am happy to report that Madiba is responding better to treatment from this morning. We are very happy with the progress that he is now making, following a difficult last few days."
Since Mandela's hospitalisation, the Presidency has consistently described his condition as "serious but stable", and restricted visits to close family and relatives because he was in intensive care.
Local and international media houses have been camping outside Mandela's home in Johannesburg, while others have been stationed outside the hospital.
"We appreciate the messages of support from all over the world," Zuma said. "It is an honour for us as South Africans to share Madiba with the international community.
"We fully understand and appreciate the global interest in this world icon. We are so proud to call him our own.
"We urge South Africans and the international community to continue to keep President Mandela and the medical team in their thoughts and prayers."

The Octogenarian, Pa Fatai Rolling Dollar Kicked The Bucket
It was reported last week that the octogenarian musician, Pa Fatai Rolling Dollar was unable to balance his hospital bill at Ahmadiyya Hospital, along Abeokuta Expressway, Lagos where he was bedridden for two weeks. “One of Nigeria’s oldest and most prolific musicians was yet to leave Ahmadiyya Hospital because he has been unable to come up with N29,000, balance of his hospital bill – a paltry sum for a musician of his caliber and a situation which may keep the octogenarian in the hospital longer,” the reporter said.
Though, people have rallied round the old man and have sorted the hospital bill as we gathered, notwithstanding, such a small amount shouldn’t be an issue for a legend like him. This is a man who was very close to the former governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but he no longer has his contact. Hear him ““I was close to the former governor, Bola Tinubu, but I don’t have his contact anymore. The man loves me”.
While in hospital, Rolling Dollar was said to have expressed his disappointment on the trip and allegedly said Atawewe, the Fuji artiste went away with his money and he was never paid a dime in the US Tour.
Hear his ordeal in America “I went on stage and performed even though the money was not given to me. When I finished performing and went to sit down, my body was no longer normal. I told somebody to take me to the car and put on the heater.
It was about 3.00 a.m. and that was where I started feeling the pain in my leg. It was very cold in America then”, he explained. He managed to return home to Nigeria by May 17.
The shows were to hold in New York, Maryland, New Jersey and Texas but only New York and Maryland held. New York went bad and I was not even paid for the show there. This is because trouble broke out and some people made away with the money, including, he said, Atawewe, a Nigerian fuji musician that performed at the event, duping even the promoter, Mr. Samson Raji.”
