Me, Jay-Z and I: Beyonce 'Sacks Manager So That She Can Manage Her Career With Husband

Beyonce has reportedly parted ways from her manager so that she can run her own affairs with the help of husband Jay-Z.

The 32-year-old singer is believed to have ditched her general manager, Live Nation Executive Faisal Durrani, the Daily Mirror reports.

Durrani, 32, is one of several managers that Beyonce has dismissed over the years so that she can run her career with Jay-Z, 44.
In 2011, the Texan singer sacked her father, Matthew Knowles, who managed the star for 21 years since she was in Destiny’s Child in 1990.

She became the president of Parkwood Entertainment, the entertainment and management company that she set up in 2008.
But now Beyonce has also allegedly dismissed general manager Faisal so that she can gain even more independence with her husband, who plays an unofficial managerial role.
A source told the Daily Mirror: 'Jay has been heavily involved in Beyonce’s career for years, and was instrumental in organising the Mrs Carter Show World Tour. But he isn’t officially regarded as her manager – she really is independent.’

The insider added that the couple, who got married in 2008 and have a two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, want to put family life first.

‘Now the couple have Blue, she wants to make sure her family come first at all times, especially as there’s talk of them adding to the brood,’ the source added.

Oprah Winfrey Celebrates Her 60th Birthday With An Open Letter

TV personality Oprah Winfrey turned 60 yesterday, and to celebrate, she recalled some of the biggest moments in her life so far in an open, and very heartfelt, letter.
Culled from Huffington Post, please read the wonderful, inspiring letter:
Sixty. I’m turning 60 this month! I’m so glad I’ve lived long enough to say those words and celebrate their meaning. I’m turning 60. I’m alive. Healthy. Strong.
I’m turning 60, and—please don’t take offense—I no longer have to be concerned about what anyone thinks of me! (You know, the old Am I doing it right? Am I saying it right? Am I being what or who I’m “supposed” to be?) I’m turning 60, and I’ve earned the right to be just as I am. I’m more secure in being myself than I’ve ever been.
I am in awe of the way my journey here on earth continues to unfold. My life has been marked
by miracles for as long as I can recall — and even before. (My entire existence is the result of a onetime frolic under an oak tree.) My early days speaking in a Mississippi Methodist church — Baptist leanings, shoutin’, and Holy Ghost included — prepared me for a future of speaking in a public arena I could never have imagined.
And now, at 60, I simply want to share what I’ve been given. I want to continue to encourage as many people as I can to open their hearts to life, because if I know anything for sure, it’s that opening my own heart is what has brought me my greatest success and joy.

My highest achievement: never shutting my heart down. Even in my darkest moments — through sexual abuse, a pregnancy at 14, lies and betrayals — I remained faithful, hopeful, and open to seeing the best in people, regardless of whether they were showing me their worst.
I stayed open to believing that no matter how hard the climb, there is always a way to let in a sliver of light to illuminate the path forward. We go through life discovering the truth about who we are and determining who has earned the right to share the personal space within our heart.

This I also know for sure: God — however you define or refer to Him, Her, or It — is for us. The forces of nature are for us, offering us life in abundance. We humans narrow what is an open field of wonder and majesty to the myopic reality of our day-to-day experiences. But there is extraordinary in the ordinary. Every day and every breath is magic — if we can only see it for what it is.
Some days the awareness of the sanctity and sacredness of life brings me to my knees with gratitude. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the idea that the little girl from Mississippi who grew up holding her nose in an outhouse now flies on her own plane — my own plane! — to Africa to help girls who grew up like her. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound!
I approach this milestone, the landmark of 60, with humility, supreme thanksgiving, and joy. Knowing for sure grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

Kim Kardashian shows off her Christmas Hermes Custom Painted N#de Bag, A Gift from Kanye West

An unbelievable gift from her boyfriend, Kanye West, as Kim Kardashian shows off her Hermes Customised Leather Bag. The couple have recently been striking up new friendships with several different world renown artists, including Jeff Koons, and earlier this month they attended Art Basel in Miami, Florida.
On Thursday during a shopping trip in Woodland Hills, the 33-year-old proudly showed off her Christmas gift from her rapper fiance - a tan Hermes leather handbag customised with a n#de painting by famous contemporary artist, George Condo The design features several eerie n#de female figures and a bare-chested monster, and has been directly hand painted on the front of the very expensive leather good.
On Thursday, Kim also posted a photograph of the handbag on her Instagram account, captioning it with a series of hashtags, including '#HandPaintedGeorgeCondo #HermesBirkin #OneofOne #ChristmasPresentFromYeezy'.
Kanye and Condo have known each other for several years after the rapper contacted the New York-based painter in 2010, asking him to create a series of paintings for his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Condo has been prominent in the art world for over three decades, and is heralded as being instrumental in the international revival of painting from the 1980s onward.
His work has been exhibited all over the world, and is currently on view in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Kim's bag took centre stage as she stepped out in an ensemble of whites and creams.
The mother-of-one put her curves on display in a pair of white tight trousers and a Henley top unbuttoned to show off her cleavage.
The reality star kept warm in one of her favourite cashmere coats in cream and her tan stilettos matched her new handbag.
Meanwhile, Kanye went casual in a pair of light denim jeans tucked into his favourite Timberland boots and a grey sweater worn underneath a green padded parka.
The notoriously hot-headed star was certainly in a festive mood for once, grinning from ear-to-ear as he left the store with his bride-to-be.

The 36-year-old also showed that chivalry is not dead by carrying all of the shopping bags while Kim concentrated on toting her new piece of art.
The pair appear as though they may soon be heading somewhere cold and snowy, for they stopped by Sports Ltd, a Ski and Snowboard shop where they stocked up on several items.
The couple's outing on Thursday comes after they spent Christmas Eve with the entire Kardashian clan at Kim's mother Kris Jenner annual Christmas party, held at her Hidden Hills home.
