Breaking News...........Omoyele Sowore Lost His Brother Today

Omoyele Sowore just lost a brother today on his way to his school at Edo where he is studying Pharmacy at Igbinedion University. May his soul rest in peace.

Sowore shared this pathetic news on his Facebook page.

My immediate younger brother, Olajide Sowore was today shot and killed near Okada in Edo state by reportedly herdsmen /kidnappers on his way from Igbinedion University in Edo sate where he is studying Pharmacy.

They snuffed out the life yet another real human being!

Rest In Power, “Dr. Mamiye!”

This act in itself will not delay their day of justice.

I traveled widely with you and our father as a little kid. You were the most loved robust kid I ever first knew. You, Mr. magnet had no enemy!

You, Mr. Sunshine Foundation who made everyone happy.

You, the boy who snuck out his older ones to parties, taking all the blames when our disciplinarian father found out.

You, the guy who was an out-of-the-box thinker who decided school wasn’t for you and created you own genre of music and then turned around to go to school after you almost turned 50!

You lived your life so that everyone could be alright but now assassinated by everything that’s not alright!

Saddest day yet!

What was she thinking in the first place? Taking your family matter to social media is totally a wrong step for a reasonable woman.

He said “My dream at the onset was to build a platform for Comedians in the Southwest to ride on to excellence. As far as Southwest is concerned, we have been able to actualize what we have on our front burners

Obasa Commiserate With CP Odumosu Over Mother's Death

Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, has commiserated with the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu, over the loss of his mother, Alhaja Sikirat Odumosu.

Alhaja Odumosu died on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilisan Remo, Ogun State after a brief illness. She was aged 88.

Consoling the commissioner, Obasa, in a statement by his media office, noted that even though Alhaja Odumosu left at a relatively old age, her demise is still painful.

The Speaker urged Commissioner Odumosu to take solace in the fact that his mother played a vital role in moulding him and his siblings into becoming successful positive contributors to Nigeria.

He also described the late octogenarian as a religious woman who lived a good life adding that this should be a consolation for the family, friends and community where the deceased hailed from.

He said; “Be consoled by the fact that you had a great woman as a mother. The result of her contributions reflect in your success as a police chief today.”

“I share in your grief at this time, but I know that mama has played her role well both as a religious woman and as one with a moral uprightness.”

“On behalf of the Lagos State House of Assembly and all those we represent, I express our sympathies to you and encourage you to remain strong at this trying period.”

“I also pray that God grant Alhaja Odumosu Aljannah Firdaus while granting the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss, ameen”

Sammie Okposo Celebrates His Birthday In A Grand Style

Gospel music act Sammie Okposo is gearing up for the second leg of his American tour to celebrate his 50th birthday.

The Wellu Wellu singer, who recently turned 50, expressed his gratefulness to God for the achievements in his career and for sparing his life.

“Turning 50 has been an exciting journey and God has been faithful. When we were much younger, we used to think that the people in their 50s were very old but we know better now.

I am most grateful to God that I’m alive to celebrate my 50th especially after the whole world was plagued with the Covid-19 pandemic.

“So for me to be alive to celebrate my 50th in good health, there is a lot to be grateful for. Even though we couldn’t celebrate with a big party because of the Covid-19 restrictions, we’re still able to mark it with a few family and friends. I am on the fifth floor now, I’m grateful but the best of Sammie Okposo is yet to come,” he said.

He expressed his delight in the evolution of gospel music in Nigeria but admitted that more still has to be done.

“Gospel music in Nigeria has thrived very well. It has moved from where it used to be. A few of us that were pace setters kept it alive while the new artists that have joined us brought in more fire. So it is a whole lot better than what it used to be. We are having international collaborations, concerts, and tours.

“My last single ‘Too good to be true’ has hit over a million views on Youtube and the one before it, “Sing Halleluyah” has gotten almost 2 million views. I also just released the live version of one of my previous songs, Omeriwo which featured Mercy Chinwe and Henry Soul in the studio version.

“The live version of the song featured two of my band singers, Joy Uche Ogbona and Lillian Collins. There will always be room for improvement anyways”.
