A newborn died after doctors failed to catch him when his mum pushed him out. Grieving father Claudio Mondragon said he had witnessed the tragedy as his wife Stefania gave birth to their son Valentino.

An investigation was underway today into the incident at a hospital in the Argentinian city of Gualeguaychu, a three hour drive north of the capital Buenos Aires near to where the couple live.

The baby boy was transferred to a specialist hospital in the nearby city of Parana, but he was pronounced dead before arrival.

Claudio, 29, told local paper El Dia: “My wife was in labour and was just about to have the baby and they asked her to push and she pushed so he would come out.

“He came out really fast and no-one grabbed him and he fell to the floor.

"The midwife didn’t have time to catch him and the obstetrician didn’t react.

“The only thing they did was lift him up from the flo
or and put him in an incubator and take him to another hospital.”

The freak accident happened last Thursday afternoon in a clinic called Sanatorio Pronto in Gualeguaychu.

The baby boy died as he was being taken to San Roque Hospital in Parana.

The investigation, led by a local state prosecutor, will determine if his death is the result of medical negligence and whether anyone should face criminal charges.

Valentino, whose 26-year-old mum Stefania was 37 weeks pregnant when she gave birth, has already been buried by his grief-stricken parents.

A preliminary autopsy is said to have concluded the baby boy died from a head injury consistent with a fall.

Minimum Wage: No Worker In Lagos Can Live With N30,000 - Ex-Governorship Candidate

Gbadamosi said the roads in Lagos were so bad that people were dying in the gridlock caused by the poor condition of roads.

Babatunde Gbadamosi
Babatunde Gbadamosi,
A former governorship candidate under the Action Democratic Party in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has said no worker can comfortably live with the new minimum wage of N30,000 in Lagos.
Gbadamosi while speaking at a conference in Lagos, said a minimum wage of N100, 000 should be paid to workers because of the high cost of living in the state.
Gbadamosi said, “Lagos should be paying at least N100,000 minimum wage because of the high cost of living in the state.
“There is no worker that can live comfortably on N30,000 salary in a month. The bad roads force transporters to keep increasing fares, rents are high, Lagosians pay so much to send their children to school.
“Lagos State internally generated revenue in a month is said to be above N30bn and that is the official figure. The state gets allocation from Abuja every month, so, can we say we get value for about N40bn made in a month?”
Gbadamosi said the roads in Lagos were so bad that people were dying in the gridlock caused by the poor condition of roads.
According to him, road construction and rehabilitation are the easiest tasks that can be done in governance, saying a kilometre of road in difficult terrains in the country will not cost more than N300m.
He said, “The Apapa gridlock has not been sorted out contrary to the promise made by the governor that he would clear the gridlock in his first 100 days in office. I knew it was a tall order. He was probably prompted to make that promise by his political advisers.
“ The palliative work they are doing on the roads is a waste of resources. They said they could not lay asphalt on the roads during the rainy season but the dry season is here, yet they are not doing what they promised.

A Pakistani special court hearing the high treason case against former president General Pervez Musharraf has handed the former ruler a death sentence.

A three-member bench of the special court headed by Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad announced the decision, in a split judgment.

The court, in its short order said that it had analysed complaints, records, arguments and facts in the case for three months. The court added it had found Musharraf, now living in Dubai, guilty of high treason according to Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan.

It was a majority verdict, with three of the two judges giving the decision against Musharraf.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had filed the treason case against Musharraf over his imposition of extra-constitutional emergency in November 2007.

The former army chief was indicted in the case in March 2014 after he appeared before the court and rejected all charges.

On March 18, 2016, the former president left Pakistan for Dubai for medical treatment after his name was removed from the exit control list on the orders of the Supreme Court.

A few months later, the special court had declared him a proclaimed offender and ordered the confiscation of his property owing to his continuous inability to appear.

Later, his passport and identity card were also cancelled on orders of the apex court.

John Henderson and Charlotte Curtis aged 106 and 105 respectively who are officially recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records as the world’s oldest couple and will on December 22, 2019, celebrate their 80th wedding anniversary, and 85 years after sitting in a zoology class in 1934.

John and Charlotte married in a tiny ceremony with only two guests present on Dec. 22, 1939 and during their honeymoon in San Antonio, they stayed at a hotel that cost $7 a night.

Even though they known each other for 85 years, they have been married only for 80, meaning the record for the longest marriage according to Guinness World Records, belongs to Zelmyra and Herbert Fisher, who wed at the ages of 17 and 19, respectively, and were married for 86 years and 290 days before Herbert’s death in 2011.

Speaking to Washington post on Sunday, John Henderson said;

“it took her five years to make up her mind that she wanted to get married,”

Speaking about the first time he got a radio, John said;

“And I well-remember that long antenna. They had to put it up from the front yard to the backyard to receive a radio show,” he said.

He recalls renting a room while in the University of Texas in the early 1930s across the street from the Gregory Gym, one of the few historical buildings remaining on the campus.

“The neighbours next door had a cow and chickens. You can imagine today a cow and chicken house across the street from Gregory, where the campus is so large now you wouldn’t recognize hardly anything,”John said.

“I thought he was just a fine fella, and I didn’t mind his looking over my shoulder,”Charlotte told The Washington Post, remembering the first time she saw John in a Zoology class in front of John while he made passes at her.

The pair have been lauded by many for their long, milestone-filled life together.

However, John has admitted that other people have a different theory for why they're so happy together.

“Some people say that’s the reason we’ve had such a long married life, ’cause we didn’t have any kids to worry about,” John said, noting that the pair never had children.

2020: Downfall Of Reigning Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua Finally Predicted

Eddie Hearn, who promotes Joshua and Usyk, believes Pulev will likely be the next opponent.

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who co-promotes Kubrat Pulev, is confident that his boxer will end the current run of IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Joshua reclaimed his titles earlier this month with a twelve round unanimous decision win over Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia.
The IBF has ordered Joshua to make a mandatory defense against Pulev. The fight between Joshua and Pulev will likely take place in the first half of the year.
And when it does come down, Arum expects Pulev will come away with the big win.
“Let me let you in on a secret, you may agree or disagree. But by that time [end of 2020], there ain’t going to be an Anthony Joshua as a top fighter," Arum told Talk Sport.
“I’ve got a Bulgarian named Pulev who’s going to knock him on his ass in his next fight. I think everyone is in agreement that Pulev will be next.”

At the same time, Joshua has been ordered by the WBO to make a mandatory defense against Oleksandr Usyk.
Eddie Hearn, who promotes Joshua and Usyk, believes Pulev will likely be the next opponent.
“We want the governing bodies to tell us who goes first, is it Pulev or Usyk? For me, it is probably Pulev, because that mandatory was called first. Off the top of my head, it will be end of April or early May for Joshua’s next fight," Hearn said.
The big fight in the heavyweight division is the rematch between WBC champion Deontay Wilder and challenger Tyson Fury.
Arum has no problem with matching Fury - should he win - against the Joshua-Pulev winner.
“As far as I’m concerned, why not? Tyson Fury is better than any other heavyweight in the world. The Joshua fight would be a big fight, after Wilder, but I haven’t spoken to Tyson about it. For me, I’d say bring it on,”Arum said.
