Funke Adesiyan In N80.000 Debt Mess

What a mess!  The controversial yoruba actress Funke Adesiyan was reported to have embroiled herself in a mess because of N80.000 debt. Few days ago, there were reports that she is owing a Lagos-based estate agent the sum of N80,000 for helping her get a rented apartment in Lekki area of Lagos State. According to a source, the tribal marked actress is presently battling to save her career from break like an egg, running helter skelter trying to nip the crisis in the bud when the news hit her in the wrong place. At the moment, Funke denied owing the man but claimed that the man was only trying to dent her image after she refused to employ the estate agent as her gateman after she got the said house. The source made it known to us that  Funke allegedly refused to pay the man in question amount even after her 'lover' promised to offset the bill.



 

Anna Has Been Crowned The MBGN 2013

Anna Ebiri Banner, the Eighteen year old beauty Queen, who hailed from Bayelsa state, has been crowned the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN) 2013!

Anna will be representing Nigeria in the Miss World 2013 Finale holding in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she will go against other beauty queens in the world for the crown.  The 26th edition of the MBGN Pageant took place today in Yenogua, Bayelsa state.

Peter Okoye, One half of the multiple award-winning P-Square, has finally proposed to his mother of his 2 kids, Lola Omotayo with a diamond ring and a brand new white Range Rover Vogue worth N15 million. The romance between the lover birds "Peter and Lola" started many years ago, when Lola was working wih KKG2, an advertising company, before Peter became a celebrity. Today their relationship is already blessed with two kids; Cameron and Aliona Okoye. Lola is now Mrs Okoye.

According to a source Peter opens up on why he decide to propose to the mother of his two kids.  

Peter said: “it is something I had always wanted to do and I knew I would definitely do this to Lola one day, but I needed to wait for the right time. Honestly, she deserves even more from me.” he said. On her own, Lola said, “it is a day the Lord has made. I’m excited the way any woman in my shoes would.”

Nkiru Sylvanus Sacked From Cabinet

  Nollywood actress, Nkiru Sylvanus who was a Special Assistance to the governor of Imo State, Rochas Ewelle Okorocha was sacked from his cabinet yesterday at the state executive council meeting held in the state capital.
. The light-skinned actress felt so bad, also some of the governor's aide, including the state commissioner were sacked.
 According to a source, the actress is not from Imo state but from Abia. Her appointment raised issues as some people speculated that she got the job because she gives the governor a 'special service'.

City People Honours AK Media Boss

For his contribution towards the development of entertainment industry in Nigeria, Asiwaju Benson Akindeju, the MD/CEO of AK Media Concepts, has been given a special recognition award by City People Media Group.

Akindeju, the producer of televisions series; Face-2-Face, Family Ties and Nowhere To Be Found, received the plaque at the City People Entertainment Award held at The Haven Event Centre, Ikeja, on 14 July. The event was graced by people from all walks of life.

In his acceptance speech, Akindeju gave glory to God and dedicated the award to his mentor; Mr. Wale Adenuga.

“I give glory to God almighty for the opportunity He has given me to be a contributor to people’s lives via what I love doing most. I give thanks to City People Entertainment and my mentor who has contributed greatly to my uplift in the media world, Mr. Wale Adenuga. I say thank you sir,” he said.
