The old students of Ogun State College of Education, in the department of Physical and Health Education - School of Applied Science 1980 - 1983 recently came together at Abeokuta for the February 2025 get-together, hosted by Pastor Lucky Aruoture.
Jumpologists - (Ajiserepa) as they were referred to, hold these meetings in rotation across the three (3) Senatorial Districts of Ogun State. It is a forum for social networking and the welfare of members. It is aimed at re-uniting members after four decades apart, on different spheres of life. The forum is mainly to re-live those memories of the past and praise the Lord God Almighty for bringing us this far.
Previous meetings were held at Abeokuta (Ogun Central), Ojete (Ogun West), and AgoIwoye (Ogun East). The event was streamed live for the involvement of members in the Diaspora. To foster social cohesion, the group meets online by phone for chit-chat every fortnight, for discussions on assisting ailing members with their medical bills and general welfare of every member. The set is always ably represented at all the social outings of members, including paying last respect at the demise of any member or lecturer. The next meeting shall be held in August 2025 at Ijebu-Igbo Ogun East Senatorial Constituency.
