Former Nigerian Immigration Boss Found Dead In Abuja Hotel, Police Dismiss Kidnap Claims


 Former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Mr. Shikfu Parradang, was discovered deceased in his hotel room in Abuja on March 4, 2025. As speculation continues regarding the circumstances of his passing, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police are expected to provide clarity, having already stated that there is no evidence supporting rumors of kidnapping.

Mr. Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel in Abuja on March 3, 2025, around noon, securing a one-night stay. He had a female visitor who left the hotel around 4:00 pm that same day. Concern for his safety led a friend and military officer to visit the hotel at approximately 4:00 am on March 4, 2025. Joined by hotel staff, they were poised to discover Mr. Parradang unresponsive, seated in a chair in his room.

The FCT Police are initiating an investigation into the events surrounding Mr. Parradang’s death, and they are likely to urge the public to refrain from spreading unverified information while awaiting the official findings.

Having served as the Comptroller General of the NIS from 2013 to 2015, Mr. Parradang was influential in shaping Nigeria’s immigration policies and border management. As the investigation unfolds, many are anticipating the insights that will emerge about his impactful career and the surrounding circumstances of his untimely death.
